Description:
After 1990, the Romanian legislation required that, downstream of the dams, damage mitigation measures should be taken to protect property and the population in case of accidents at the dams.
Out of the 107 dams under the administration of S.P.E.E.H HIDROELECTRICA, 96 dams meet one of the conditions nfailure to implement the warning-alarm system according to the water law 107/1996, joint order of the MAI/MAP, no. 78/459/2019, art. no. 8. and civil protection law 481/2004.
The warning-alarm systems were dimensioned according to the inundation area resulting from the calculation of rdam or dikes in the most unfavorable cases.
The sirens were placed in the localities or locations of S.P.E.E.H HIDROELECTRICA, to warn/alarm the population in the flood zones. the power of the siren and the height at which it is mounted on the pylon was determined so thatthe service area of the siren to cover the populated area of the localities. In order to achieve the sound coverage of the localities in the flood zone, powers between 600 and 3000 were used
