- On the CFR network there are automatic signaling installations with flashing red lights and semi-barriers - BAT, most of which have been in operation for more than 30 years. Each installation consists of electromechanisms for handling with semi-barriers, road warning signals with light unitse, St. Andrew's cross indicator and acoustic device, TN cabinets with relays, power supplies, devices for command and control of the operation, the cable network for remote control, remote control and power supply and signaling modules on the IDM desk. Due to the great age and intensive exploitationsive mechanical wear appeared, especially on the traffic warning signals and on the actuation electromechanisms, which were also affected by the numerous knocks and hits by road vehicles. Since there are no longer suppliers for some of the old equipment of iinstallations, having been out of production for over 20 years, it is no longer possible to provide spare parts for them, and keeping them in working condition as well as maintaining BAT installations is achieved with great difficulty.
The replacement of the old electromechanisms in the installations will be with anew generation of equipped barrier electromechanism. These actions will be carried out with CFR's own staff, requiring the purchase of equipped automatic barrier electromechanisms.
