- Fixing the rail to the sleeper is done by means of metal parts that ensure the transmission of efforts from the rail to the sleepers.
Elastic clamps are elements that ensure the fastening of the cross rail and are made of special steels with increased mechanical resistance that ensure a goodbehavior to repeated demands (fatigue). The shape and dimensions of the elastic clamps ensure a secure fixation of the cross rail.
A modern solution for fastening the cross rail is the SKL clamp which has been successfully used in CF line repair works. Thanks to the goodsresults in operation, especially on line sectors with important demands, to reduce operating expenses it is necessary to equip the track superstructure with SKL clamps.
SKL clamps are modern components for fastening the railway rail to the sleeper. SKL clamps secure the rail to the boardmetal and were used in the railway infrastructure repair works. During operation, due to repeated stresses, SKL clamps wear out or corrode, which is why they must be replaced. Due to the good results given in operation, it is necessary to equip some anumite line sectors with heavy operating conditions with SKL elastic clamping.
The shape, dimensions and permitted deviations for the SKL 24 Clamps used at CNCF"CFR"SA are in accordance with CS no. 2/1/855/2022 CLAMPS SKL 24 (Trailer set).
