The technical requirements for the requested services are specified in the specifications no. 20260/31.08.2023 and annexes, drawn up by the Investments Office, of Societati Electrocentrale Craiova. To comply with the requirements of Unisome European regarding the reduction of polluting emissions and for the increase of energy efficiency so that the activity is competitive on the energy market, it is necessary for Societatea Electrocentrale Craiova SA to make the transition from the activity of electricity production and tersmall ones that use lignite as the primary energy source, for the production of electricity and heat that use natural gas as the primary energy. In this sense, the investment "New capacities for the production of electricity and heat on natural gas in high-efficiency cogeneration" was startedof 295 MW for Societatea Electrocentrale Craiova SA", a project that will ensure the supply of thermal energy to consumers, in the context of the elimination of coal from the production process of electrical and thermal energy.
