• Description:
• The Giurgiu Bypass Variant project is located in the vicinity of Giurgiu Municipality. The city is located in the southern part of the country, 64 km from Bucharest in the meadow and on the left bank of the Danube, at an altitude of 23 - 26 m (fig. 1). It is an important river port and a border point with Bulgaria, having a population of approx. 69300 inhabitants. The municipality of Giurgiu has a total area of ​​5,233 ha, of which 2,358 ha is intra-village land, and 2,876 ha is extra-village land. The inhabited area of ​​the municipality is approx. 923705 sqm, of which 896641 sqm are private property and 27064 sqm, property ofstate. In the municipality of Giurgiu there are a number of 350 streets, totaling 131 km of which, 111 km are concrete and asphalted streets, and 20 km are streets paved with river stone and earth.
  The solution proposed in this documentation is based on the Study of Feasibility of option 4 of the route, approved in favorrable by CNAIR. In the framework of the project, the requirements of the specifications were respected, namely the design speed, the geometric elements in the transverse profile as well as the provisions of the various Norms, Norms and Standards in force in Romania.
