- The National Railway Company "CFR"- SA has completed the feasibility study for the project "MODERNIZATION OF THE RAILWAY INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE PORT OF CONSTANTA". The project is currently in the stage of documentation preparation, acquisition, design and execution and, respectively, consultancy and supervision ofthe works.
The works related to the investment objective "MODERNIZATION OF THE RAILWAY INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE PORT OF CONSTANțA - STAGE I, VALU LUI TRAIAN" consist in the design and execution of the works in accordance with the legislation and technical regulations in force.
The investment is considered as a stagethe initial step to ensure the interoperability of the Rhine-Danube Corridor on the territory of Romania, leading to a more efficient connection with the railway network in central and south-eastern Europe.
The port of Constanța is the main port of Romania and the main maritime access node of the Rhine-Du Corridornostril. The port area, including the CFR railway infrastructure inside the port, is connected to the national railway system and the central TEN-T network. As part of the CNCF "CFR"-SA network, the railway infrastructure in the Port of Constanța must comply with the requirements of the European directives on the implementationmentation of the single European space.
Administratively, the railway lines from the C-ta Port are located within the radius of the Constanța CF Constanța Regional Branch - CNCF "CFR" SA.
