Description:
Currently, the IT System of the Romanian Naval Authority consists of 550 computer systems, over 250 physical/virtual servers and over 15 specific applications developed with internal and/or external resources or other commercial applications provided by third-party manufacturers.
Servers are connectedtates to the storage system redundantly via FiberChannel connections. For data protection, the storage system is configured using multiple RAID groups that ensure system operation and data integrity. Server-type systems and computer applications sbut shared by using VLANs, respecting information security protocols. The IT infrastructure of ANR also allows connections in wireless technology (since IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n standards are covered) for mobile equipment such as laptop, tablet or mobile phone (smartphone)one).
Applications are based on more than 80% of Microsoft products and technologies (desktop and server operating systems, SQL server, Office 365).
Considering the critical nature of some operative processes, such as data exchanges international, the operation of voce IP and the operation of the ship traffic management systems on the Danube and/or in the maritime ports, the uninterrupted operation of the equipment and the permanent assurance of communications, according to the regulations in the field, is necessary.
