Description:
Considering the current precarious state of the pedestrian passages that connect the New Center of the Municipality of Satu Mare and the embankment on the right bank of the Someș River, respectively the frequent use both from the point of view of pedestrian and bicycle traffic and following the carrying out of the special expertisethat require their rehabilitation, it is justified and required that the City Hall of Satu Mare start the design and execution works regarding the rehabilitation of these pedestrian passages.
The rehabilitation of these passages is also justified in terms of the fact that they will connectwith two projects that the City Hall of Satu Mare has submitted for financing through the 2014-2020 ROP program as follows:
-,,Modernization and expansion of the pedestrian and bicycle route Centru Nou" PTh design phase and execution of works
-"Planning bike path Botizului street - Pod Golescu' - PTh design phase and works execution
By creating, modernizing and expanding a coherent network of cycle paths but also by creating and modernizing some pedestrian routes, the conditions for achieving a sustainable transfer of part of the elbow can be ensuredthe modal shift from private car transport to public transport and non-motorized modes, respectively to the use of bicycles as a means of travel and walking.
