- Greenhouse gases include carbon dioxide (CO2), resulting from fossil fuel combustion, methane, released from plantations and landfills, as well as combustion products and various industrial chemicals. A major part of air pollution is caused by transports with vehicles with classic engines, powered by fossil fuels. Annually, a car emits into the atmosphere a quantity of CO2 with a mass four times greater than its own mass. The dependence of the transport sector on fossil fuels is the most acute in relation to other areas,hence the increased degree of pollution in this sector. The implementation of a community transport system based on electric vehicles ensures a tendency to increase the dynamics of shared transport, in relation to individual transport with personal vehicles, which contributes to maintainingand improving the quality parameters of the environment, by reducing air pollution, respectively by minimizing CO2 emissions. By purchasing electric vehicles for community transport and stations for charging them, added value is brought to Cristeș communesti and Coșula from Botoșani county and ensure the usefulness of a modern and sustainable mobility solution compatible with the requirements imposed by the EU regarding environmental protection.
