Description:
The "Waste collection containers" component, part of the Integrated Waste Management System in Sibiu county, aims to continue the local strategy for the development of the integrated waste management system in Sibiu county in accordance with the provisions of the County Plan of Gwaste management in Sibiu county 2019-2025, thus contributing to the sustainability of the integrated management system in order to comply with the provisions of the directives applicable to the waste management sector (Directive 99/31/EC on waste storage and the Framework Directive onseats (2008/98/EC). The objective of the Sibiu County Council is to improve the waste management infrastructure and implicitly the quality of the environment in Sibiu County by expanding separate collection within the SMID Sibiu in order to fulfill the objectives related to increasing the weightof recycled / recovered waste in the total amount of waste collected and the reduction of the amount of stored waste.
On 16.02.2023, for the "Waste collection containers" component, the Application for Financing - SMIS code 158170 - for accessing the finance was uploaded to the MySMIS platformcountries from the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014_2020.
